Hello and welcome!

Welcome to our new venture! It's always fun to meet new people and learn a little about each other so I thought I'd kick things off and introduce myself.

I'm Karen, the voice on the end of the phone when you call TP, the person on the other end of the computer when you email and the founder of this forum! I've been scrapbooking for about 10 years after my sister sent me an album and a couple of layouts as a birthday present. I put the word 'scrapbooking' into a Google search and was hooked. It wasn't long before I was designing and teaching classes and I'm still running that same club in Kent!

I have been fortunate to be able to make scrapbooking more than a hobby and have written three scrapbook technique books, worked for a number ofUK scrapbook magazines and appeared on TV and radio. It's been a crazy ride and I have lots to thank scrapbooking for!

My scrapbooking style has evolved over the years but has always been about using a technique. My pages are usually very embellished and have lots going on - I don't do clean and simple. I think my style has come from the fact that I teach almost everything I design and am always thinking about filling 2-3 hours of class time. I'd hate for everyone to be done in 10 mins!

I am married to the most amazing man who 'gets' scrapbooking and is wonderfully supportive. I have a teenage son who I'm incredibly proud of and who tolerates my need to take photos of him!!

Hi, I'm Lyn and I have been a scrapbooker for about 10 years now. I don't have a specific 'style' for my scrapbooking. I love everything, from clean and simple to shabby chic. I am retired, after working for the Met Police for years, which means I have more time for my hobby. I am married and have 2 daughters, both of whom are avid 'scrappers'. I go to the Total Papercrafts Kent club, where I enjoy an evening of 'me' time, with amazing company and fantastic kits!!
